Ultra Endurance

50 KM Ultra Marathon

A serious ultra-distance challenge around one of Kashmir’s most iconic freshwater lake landscapes.

Age: 18 years+
Cut-off: 7 hours
Qualifier: One full marathon within 2 years under 6 hours

Endurance Run

25 KM Run

A focused endurance category for runners ready to push beyond short-distance formats.

Age: 18 years+
Cut-off: 3 hours 30 minutes
Qualifier: 10K+ timed race within last 2 years
Proof: Timing certificate required

Open Category

10 KM Run

A practical category for fitness enthusiasts, regular runners and first-time race participants.

Community Run

5 KM Community Run

A community participation category designed to bring people together for fitness and awareness.

Eligibility / Category Details

50 KM and 25 KM categories are open for 18 years and above. 10 KM is open for 14 years and above, and 5 KM is open for 10 years and above. 50 KM runners must have completed at least one full marathon within 2 years under 6 hours. 25 KM runners must have completed at least one timed race (10K or longer) within the last 2 years. Proof of timing certificate must be uploaded during registration wherever applicable.

50 KM Ultra Marathon

A strong ultra category for experienced endurance runners ready for distance, pacing and changing terrain around Wular Lake.

Qualifier	Participant must have completed at least one full marathon within the last 2 years under 6 hours.
Certificate Requirement	Timing certificate or timing link will be asked for in the registration form.

25 KM Run

A strong endurance distance for runners moving towards longer race formats.

Qualifier	Must have completed at least one timed race (10K or longer) within the last 2 years.
Certificate Requirement	Proof of timing certificate must be uploaded during registration.

10 KM Run

An accessible timed race category for regular runners, fitness groups and community participation.

50 KM Ultra Marathon	Age 18 years+. Cut-off 7 hours. Must have completed at least one full marathon within the last 2 years under 6 hours. Timing certificate or timing link required in registration form.
25 KM Run	Age 18 years+. Cut-off 3 hours 30 minutes. 25 KM Run: Must have completed at least one timed race (10K or longer) within the last 2 years. Proof of timing certificate must be uploaded during registration.
10 KM Run	Age 14 years+. Cut-off 1 hour 30 minutes.
5 KM Community Run	Age 10 years+. Cut-off 45 minutes.

Note: Medical declaration, safety instructions and race-day reporting requirements should be followed as per organiser instructions.

Accommodation & Rules

Accommodation & Stay Advisory

Registrations Now Open. Due to very limited hotel and resort accommodation in Bandipora, BSF has made basic stay and transport arrangements for registered participants.

Transport to Bandipora	Designated buses from Srinagar on Saturday, 24 October 2026. Pick-up point and timing will be communicated closer to race day.
Stay Arrangement	One night's basic shared accommodation in government buildings and designated local facilities, schools or colleges.
Meals Included	Basic dinner on arrival and breakfast on race morning.
Return Transport	Return transportation to Srinagar after completion of the race.
Important Advisory	Participants should arrange their personal stay in Srinagar before and after the event.
Expo & Bib Collection	The official Race Expo and Bib Collection will be held in Srinagar before race day.

Rules & Regulations

1. General Guidelines

Event: BSF Wular Ultra Run 2026 will be conducted at Wular Lake, Bandipora, Kashmir on 4 October 2026.
Follow instructions: Participants must follow event rules, route markings, safety guidelines and organiser directions.
Race categories: 5 KM Run (minimum age 10 years), 10 KM Run (minimum age 14 years), 25 KM Run (minimum age 18 years) and 50 KM Ultra Run (minimum age 18 years).
Timing: The race will be conducted under timed conditions using RFID-based timing systems.

2. Eligibility & Entry

Nationality: Entry is open only to Indian nationals with valid Government ID proof.
Defence categories: Open to serving and retired personnel of BSF, Army, Navy, Air Force and CAPF with valid service ID.
Registration: Individual, non-transferable and non-refundable.
Organiser rights: Organisers reserve the right to reject any application without assigning a reason.

3. Entry Fees

Fees include race entry, T-shirt, timing chip, bib, finisher medal, hydration, medical support, transport from Srinagar to Bandipora and return after race, with one night basic shared accommodation at Bandipora.

4. Age Eligibility

50 KM and 25 KM: 18 years and above.
10 KM: 14 years and above.
5 KM: 10 years and above.

5. Qualification Criteria

25 KM Run: Must have completed at least one timed race (10K or longer) within the last 2 years.
50 KM Ultra: Must have completed at least one full marathon within the last 2 years under 6 hours.
Proof required: Proof of timing certificate must be uploaded during registration wherever applicable.

6. Timing & Cut-Off

50 KM: 7 hours.
25 KM: 3 hours 30 minutes.
10 KM: 1 hour 30 minutes.
5 KM: 45 minutes.

7. Race Route & Safety

Runners must follow the designated race route and route markings at all times.
Any deviation from the designated route may result in disqualification.
Hydration and energy points, medical support and ambulance support will be provided along the route.
Littering on the route is strictly prohibited.

8. Bibs & Timing Tags

Bibs and timing chips will be distributed at the Expo & Bib Collection Counter.
Participants must wear their bib on the front chest area throughout the race.
Bibs are unique and non-transferable. Running with another participant’s bib may lead to disqualification.

9. Prizes & Recognition

Prize money structure and categories will be shared in due course.
Runners must complete the race within the official cut-off time to qualify for awards.
Finisher medals and e-certificates will be provided to all official finishers.

10. Disqualification Grounds

Providing false information during registration.
Using another participant’s bib or timing chip.
Not following the designated race route or route markings.
Receiving outside assistance, vehicle pacing, misconduct or violating safety instructions.

11. Medical, Environment & Amendments

Participants run at their own risk and are advised to undergo a medical check-up before the race.
The event is a zero-litter event. Waste must be disposed of only at designated stations.
Organisers may modify rules, route or schedule for safety or logistical reasons and will communicate updates through official channels.
